The trek begins with a 45 min. flight to Lukla (2850m), from where you’ll follow the Dudh Kosi (milk river) up to Namche Bazaar (3446m), stopping the first night in Phakding (about 2652m), 3hrs walk from Namche Bazaar, the main settlement in Khumbu, you will proceed up the steep-sided Tengboche. The mountains are always in view.
The trek to Everest Base Camp fulfills a dream of a lifetime. Although challenging in terms of elevations gained, there is no technical climbing involved, anyone who is active and in good physical condition can do it. Base camp is only one of countless rewarding sites along the way. The Saturday Bazaar in Namche is teeming with highland traders. At Tengboche monastery, you might glimpse the wild musk deer browsing on hanging moss.
 
Itinerary:
 
Day 1  Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel. Hotel in Ktm
Day 2   Kathmandu Visit Pashupati, Boudha and Swpyambu Nath. Hotel in Ktm, 1350m
Day 3   Flight to Lukla (2850m) and trek to Phakding 2-3 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 2610m
Day 4   Trek Phakding to Namche 6/7 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 3440m
Day 5   Trek Namche to Tyangbuche 4-5 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 3860m
Day 6   Trek Tyangbuche to Pheriche 4/5 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 4270m
Day 7   Trek Pheriche to Lobuche 4/5 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 4910m 
Day 8   Visit Kalapathar and return to Gorekshep 6-7 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 5140m 
Day 9   Visit Everest. BC and return to Lobuche 6/7 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 4910m 
Day 10   Lobuche to Tyangbuche 5/6 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 3860m     
Day 11   Tyangbuche to Namche 4/5 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 3440m     
Day 12   Namche to Lukla 6/7 hrs walk. Trek/Lodge, 2610m  
Day 13   Fly back to Kathmandu. Visit Bhaktapur and Patan. Hotel in Ktm, 1350m 
Day 14   Kathmandu free day. Evening Cultural dinner. Hotel in Ktm, 1350m 
Day 15   International depature
