Lhasa - Everest Base Camp - Zhangmu Program
Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa, caps off this trip of superlatives with a birds eye view of Everest, across the vast Tibetan Plateau, awakes a yearning to further explore this stark landscape to holy lakes, hidden caves, clustered mud-houses villages, and wildlife inhabited pasturelands. You’ll spend two days in Lhasa (3,650m / 12,000ft) touring the Potala Palace, home of the Dalai Lama, the Buddhist monasteries. 
The 1,000 km drive crosses several passes upward of 5,000m / 16,404 ft in route Lhasa to Kathamndu, with overnights and sightseeing of Shegar, Shigatse, Gyantse, Thingri and Roingbuk where the trek route leaves the road and crosses the grassy hills to Base camp. You’ll camp near the Rongbuk Glacier in full view of Qomolangma, and visit the highest monastery in the world. 
Qomolangma (Mount Everest) known as the “Mother of the Universe,” was revered by the Tibetans for its superiority long before modern measurements were made. It is visible in all of its glory from the northern vantage, guarded by the highest monastery in the world, Rongbuk.

Day 2  

Kathamdnu (Visit Boudha nath, Pashupati nath and Swoyambhu Nath) (Visa Application day on Monday, Wednsday and Friday Only). 1350m, Hotel in Ktm

Day 4  

Ktm to Lhasa (3700m) Flight (1 hour flight, Fligh on Tuesday and Saturday Only) Drive Airport to hotel. 3700m, Hotel in Lhasa

Day 5  

Sightseeing in Lhasa- morning visit Drepung Monastary (10 km ) and evening visit in NorbuLingka (8 km ), Jokhang Monastary and Bakhor Bazzar. 3700m, Hotel in Lhasa

Day 6  

Sightseein Lhasa-Morning visit in Potala Palace and evening visit in Sera Monastry 5km. 3700m, Hotel in Lhasa

Day 7  

Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (3900m) 300km (9 hrs drive) Via Khambala Pass (4800m),Yamdrok Lake(Sacret Lake),Korula Pass (5010m) also B.C. of  Nuching khangsang Mountain(7200m), Simila Pass (4330m) – evening Visit Gyantse Monastary. 3900m, Trek/Lodge

Day 8  

Drive from Gyantse to Sigatse (3950m) 80km (3 hrs ) – Evening visit Tashillunpo Monastary. 3950m, Trek/Lodge

Day 9  

Drive from Sigatse to Xegar (4300m) 240 km(8 hrs ) via Chola Pass (4500m) and GambChola Pass (5220m). 4300m, Trek/Lodge

Day 10  

Drive from Xegar to Rungbuk (5200m) 110 km (5 hrs) via pass (5220m) - Explor Everest B.C. 8.km From Rungbuk. 5200m, Trek/Lodge

Day 11  

Drive from Rungbuk to Nyalam via Tingri (4500m) 300 km (7 hrs). 4100m, Trek/Lodge

Day 12  

Drive from Nyalam to Zhanmu 30 km(1 ½ hrs)- Back to Kathmandu. 1350m, Hotel in Ktm

Day 13  

Kathamndu. Free day. 1350m, Hotel in Ktm
