Day 1

The drive to the confluence of the rivers Bolshaya Almatinka and Ayu-Say goes on along the Bolshaya Almatinka ravine.
The walking tour takes the beginning on the glade and goes on along the river. In 20 minutes the wide ravine turns into a narrow gorge with rocky vertical walls. Further the way lies along this narrow gorge past seven high and low waterfalls.
Three of these waterfalls are passed with the help of special climbing equipment. In the most difficult places the guides and instructors help the tourists with the rope railings for safety.
After 6 hours walk along the ravine of the river Ayu-Say the path reaches a mild pass convenient for the night camp.

 
Day 2

In the morning, after packing and having breakfast the tourists begin the traverse of the eastern slope of the Bolshoy Almatinsky peak. In 1.15 hour they find themselves on the Dzhusaly-Kezen pass (3336m) where the Tian Shan Observatory Station is situated. From this place the view of the city of Almaty is magnificent.
The descent from the Dzhusaly-Kezen pass takes 40 minutes and runs back along the same route.On the pass there is a car waiting for the tourists to take them back to the city.

Notice: this route is characterized by certain technical difficulties requiring elementary mountaineering skills.
