Trekking to the top of Furmanov peak
Furmanovka (Furmanov) is a trekking peak with the height of 3037 meters. Its top in the form of a regular triangle crowns the Kim-Asar gorge. The route is very accessible and popular among tourists. You can drive up to the beginning of the track by car or walk along the road from the Medeo ice rink for 1.5km. The trail begins near the forester's house - by the old dirt road you will comes to the beginning of the ridge, behind which the neighboring Butakovska Gorge is located. Having overcome a serpentine, you will reach the top of this ridge. Follow the ridge up and after a short ascent you will be on the path leading to the main ridge. You will see a well-trodden trail along the main ridge, which will lead you to the top.
On your way up you will definitely enjoy a large swing, set on the edge - this is a famous place where you can relax and take gorgeous photos against the backdrop of the mountains. The pre-summit part becomes steeper and a bit harder, but the trail will remain good. From the top there is a stunning view of the Talgar peak 5017m (the highest point of the Zailiysky Alatau), the city and the surrounding valleys. Going down the mountain is better using the same track in a reverse direction.
