Peak Komsomol (4,376 m), route on the south-western ridge, Category 2B
The approach to the route begins from the Bogdanovicha Glacier. Come to the south-western ridge of the top along the lateral moraine and then go up along a broad talus slope to the rocky gendarmes.
R0 - R1 The first low gendarme can be passed on the right on easy rocks.
R2 - R4 A blunt ridge with destroyed rocks, 250 m . There are rock walls of 5- 8 meters high.
R4 - top The ridge with medium rocks, 150 meters , done with spotting. A snow and ice knife in front of the top, 30- 40 m , which can be overcome by a traverse on ice or snow (depending on the season), by a traverse to the right of the ridge. It is best to use crampons.
